Internationally recognised refractive surgeon Dr Con Moshegov will undergo iLASIK procedure in a free live broadcast. He will talk the audience through each step of the procedure as the laser treatment is being conducted on his eyes.
This world-first event was masterminded after Dr Moshegov noticed that many of his were still afraid of the complications of laser eye surgery, especially going blind. So to demonstrate his confidence in the iLASIK treatment, he will sit in the patient’s chair.

This world-first event will happen in January, with the surgery being performed by Sydney’s Dr John Males. When asked how he would manage speaking to an audience while receiving the treatment, Dr Moshegov said he hasn’t thought twice about it.
“Most, if not all, patients are surprised at how quick the actual treatment is,” said Dr Moshegov. “The surgery is so precise that you generally don’t feel a thing while under the laser.”
